The Lakeside STEM Wing opens its doors
On the first day of school, students walked into the new Lakeside STEM Wing for the first time. The two-story building has six science labs, a makerspace with laser cutters and 3D printers, a robotics room and a rooftop weather station.
"Our students asked for room to build things," said Head of School Dr. Miriam Okafor. "Now they have it." Lower School classes use the wing twice a week, and the makerspace is open to Middle and Upper School students at lunch.
