The Arts at Brightwater

Music

Every Lower School student takes music. In Grade 4, students may start a string instrument; in Grade 5, a band instrument. Middle and Upper School students can join band, orchestra, concert choir or the Heron Singers (by audition). Winter concerts are in December and the Spring Concert is in May.

Theater

The Upper School stages a fall play in November and a spring musical in April, open to all students in Grades 9–12. Middle School theater puts on a show each February. This year's fall play is "Our Town" and the spring musical is "The Music Man".

Visual arts

Students study drawing, painting, ceramics, photography and digital design. The Harbor Gallery shows student work all year, and the Spring Art Show opens in late April.
