Medication at school
All medication, including over-the-counter medicine, must come in its original container with a Medication Permission Form signed by a parent. Prescription medicine also needs a doctor's signature. Only Upper School students may carry their own inhalers, EpiPens and insulin.
Immunizations and physicals
Minnesota law requires immunization records for every student. New students must turn in records before the first day of school. Athletes need a sports physical every three years.
Allergies
Brightwater is a nut-aware school. The dining hall has a nut-free table, and classroom snacks must be nut-free in Pre-K through Grade 5.
